May I always be
This is my latest poem. It's a quiet reflection upon life's ambitions
and a great resolution for the new year 2025.
May I always be innocent, may I always be pure,
may I always be steadfast and always be sure.
May I always have faith, may I always try to see,
and may I always find the right way to be.
May I always be humble, may I always be kind.
May I always keep other people's feelings
in the forefront of my mind.
May I always be grateful and never be sad
for the life that I lead and the life that I've had.
My latest new
work takes shape
It's been a while, but as ever my work tends to have a life of its own. This piece has been a long, long time in the making. Way, way back when I was a little boy eagerly awaiting my 'weekly comic book',
I came across a storyline about the adventures of a Native American tribe that also took great pride in breeding their own type of horse. Through many struggles with the 'US Cavalry' that horse became so famous in battle that the US authorities ordered all of the breed to be killed at the time. Such was born the legend of the 'Appaloosa'. It grabbed my imagination and has never left me. Now my 'Appaloosa' is being reborn!
